FERNANDO MASI, nasce in Irpinia (Campania), nel 1940. Dopo- un periodo di studi si dedica completamente alla pittura, arte da lui sempre coltivata fin dall'infanzia. E' autodidatta. Attualmente divide lo sua attività tra Modena ed il suo paese nativo. Gli anni dal 1965 al 1970 li trascorre dipingendo alla ricerca di uno propria personale identità artistica, intercola il lavoro con brevi soggiorni nella Capitale ove fa la conoscenza di Carlo Levi e di Giorgio De Chirico. Cesare Zavattini e Antonello Trombadari saranno iniziatori della sua personale tenuta nel 1973 alla Galleria d'Arte Moderna - Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Roma FERNANDO MASI (Traduzione Inglese/U.S.A.) (Is presently recognized as one of the most highly sought after painters in Italy. Self.taught,he comes from Campania (Italy),but his paintings have long travelled Italy's outermost boundaries. MASI first important show was held in 1973 at the Modern Art Gallery - Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome. Since then,more than 100 exhibitions, sponsored by public and private organizations, have followed in Italy and abroad. Since 1990,when he made his debut in the Ferrari Gallery Museum in Maranello (modena-Italy), he has begun a cycle of canvases dedicated to the "WORL OF FERRARI" and everything surrounding it. The fame of a great artist like MASI comes from his presence the biennial exhibion of Dozza Imolese's Muro Dipinto in Bologna (Italy),where his work was hung alongside many other famous artists. Itas major exhibition entitled : CARS...was hosted in New York City,in 1999,at New York University, with great success. )
